Majestic Robe

Majestic Robe

Majestic Robe

To think I’ve touched a thread
Of that majestic robe
Felt a sweep of the flow
As you walked along my road

I see the star filled glitter
Around me in the dark
Your robe extends throughout eternity
Sequined glory, lightening spark

I’m looking from the inside out
I’m at the centre of your song
As I gaze up and out
Sweet music is your verse

You welcome me inside
Come in and take some rest
You’re never far away from me
In me you will be blessed

You’ve done well, my son
Daughter’s beauty has filled the room
Now it’s time to play and sing
No more earthly gloom

Come into the robe
I’ve opened up a fold
I have a place prepared for you
Sweet music for you to hold

I’ve had a taste of glory
I sip a little each day
It keeps me going for the long haul
Never will I stray

I long to be with you
Like a child lost from home
But each day I listen for your voice
Majestic robe sweeps into my room

Barry Pearman

The Lord is king, he is robed in majesty. Psalm 93:1

Now there was a woman who had been suffering from haemorrhages for twelve years; and though she had spent all she had on physicians, no one could cure her. She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his clothes, and immediately her haemorrhage stopped. Luke 8:43-44
