The Gift of Sleep

Sleep can be difficult, but sleep is a gift from God. What if we were to learn some spiritual practices to develop this gift in our life?

 

How was your sleep last night? 

You might find it hard to get off to sleep.

You might wake during the night, and the hamster wheel of thoughts beckons release.

Worries bounce off walls, then dive into wild spirals.

Feels like a troupe of monkeys are swinging through the brain!

 

What if we could train the brain for rest?

What if we could learn some spiritual practices that might just help?

On Saturday 25th January (New Zealand Time) I am going to give a short class about sleep – and you don’t need to bring your pyjamas.

 

Sleep Class

Topics

  • The role of sleep in your day
  • Sleep preparation
  • Role of medication
  • Prayers, poems, journaling.
  • Training the brain for rest
  • Praying for the subconscious

Included in the class will be a document containing prayers and poems related to sleep.

Time:
Saturday 25th January 7-8:30 am Auckland

Friday 24th January 1pm–2:30 pm EST
Friday 24th January 12pm CST
Friday 24th January 11am MST
Friday 24th January 10am PST

Friday 24th January 8pm SAST
Friday 24th January 6pm GMT

Privacy:
The class will be on Zoom, so this means that you can be as private as much as you like. No one needs to see you. It’s over to you. There will be a chat option where you can comment and chat with others if you want.

A recording will be made, but your face and comments won’t be seen.

The recording will be available to watch later on YouTube but will be ‘Unlisted’ so that only those with the link will be able to see it. It will not be open for the entire world to see.

Platform:
It will be given via zoom.

If you don’t have Zoom, then please download it if you want to attend.

Otherwise, a recording of the class will be posted on YouTube for you to view there.

Cost and attendance:
The cost of this class is a donation. ($3 US minimum). If you can’t afford this, please email and I will send you the links.

Monthly donors receive automatic access. Become a monthly donor.

Once registered, class members will receive a Zoom link to the class.

In-person attendance is not required.

The class will be recorded and available for later viewing on YouTube
