How I Write and Create

Let’s not recreate the wheel.

We can grow in the craft of writing and creating from the gifts of others.

Larry Crabb wrote by hand on legal yellow pads. He also wrote in the bath. I remember him telling me this.

David Benner writes for discovery, not communication.

I write so I will know what I think. I start with things I am thinking about – usually, things I have been reading about or, in some cases, read about long ago and continue to think about. I write so that I can take those thoughts further – something I can only do in writing and in dialogue. David Benner

I have learned a great deal from others.

I want to share my writing process whether it be for a blog post or a sermon.
